The necessary exchange of information is ensured in cooperation with the in-house engineering and process engineering departments. Of course the continuous increase of travel time and the improvement of plant efficiency take centre stage.
In terms of the steam boiler, all measures focus, of course, on reducing both corrosion and the characteristics of contamination. At the same time, the company permanently tries out new products and materials (masonry, grate elements, cladding) in test areas. Existing weaknesses of this type of boiler structure, such as the lateral grate sealing, have been converted with regard to construction and may, of course, be applied to other boilers as well.
We also work on optimised solutions in the field of flue gas cleaning, e.g. the reduction of pressure loss caused by the fabric filter. In this context, we were able to significantly reduce the consumption of compressed air as well as the loss of pressure by means of a new and efficient cleaning technology. As all our operational innovations and experiences are integrated into the development of new projects, they play a vital role in our overall “know-how”.
